May 2024 - Post Pneumonia Complications
I felt quite ill with pneumonia in December 2023. Despite usually being a fit and healthy person I struggled to recover. I found that I was dizzy and my head felt permanently foggy and I was unable to concentrate. The GP referred me for tests but couldn't find any issues so put it down to the pneumonia.
I contacted Janine as I just wanted to start feeling like myself again and no medication was helping.
After the first session, Janine told me I would feel very tired but would start to feel the benefits after a few days. She was exactly right! I slept for most of the afternoon and started to feel my symptoms subside after just 2 days! After session 3, I felt almost back to myself again. I can not thank Janine enough for helping me. I recommend her to everyone I meet!

Hi Janine! I've been thinking about you and wanting to text you with my news!...Following my last treatment with you I ended up in hospital with OHSS... I took your advice and went to the doctors, they more or less sent me straight to Leighton. The consultants kept a good eye on me for a few days then allowed me home to monitor things. I then did a pregnancy test and it was positive!
I was so relieved but worried at the same time as I was still in a lot of pain.
I'm now nearly 14 weeks pregnant and have had my scan today so my mind has been put to rest as I can finally see a baby!
I just wanted to thank you for all your support, help and treatments you managed to fit me in for at short notice. Your treatment definitely helped me to relax and prepare myself for IVF.

Just to let you know that baby arrived on 10/10/18!
She was born at 06.04 via a water birth. I started having pains at 2pm on 9/10 and they just got stronger and closer together and by 10.30pm I thought I was starting labour. Cut a long story short, got to Leighton at 03.30 and was 4cm dilated and delivered at 06.04!
Everything went well, I just bled a little so had to stay for the day.
Best of all I did it without any pain relief and she was 8lb 10oz! Thanks so much. xxx.

All went amazingly well. Started contractions at 11am, went to hospital for 1ish and gave birth in the water at 1.49pm. We have a new baby girl. She was 8lbs 6oz and she is a very happy, calm baby! I managed to hypnobirth throughout and I think that kept her calm on arrival. We were home Tuesday night and her big sister is smitten!
Thank you for all the work you did getting me prepared for the birth. I was so relaxed after our sessions and my body was ready for what was ahead of me.

I have been meaning to send this email for nearly a week now but it's been a pretty busy one.
Last Saturday morning I had hoped to wake up with lots of energy after Friday evening's appointment, like you said may happen but instead I felt dreadful. I stayed in bed until lunchtime as my children were at Grandma's for the weekend and my partner was at football.
I then noticed I had some bleeding (sorry bit to much info) so I called the hospital and they wanted me to go in and be examined. I had backache too. I went to hospital and after a 4 hour wait I was examined and was informed my waters had broken! I hadn't even realised! I was sent home and told to go back to be induced at 11am Sunday if I had not started naturally.
Arriving home at 7.30pm I then started with contractions which by 12am were every 4 or 5 minutes and getting too strong to manage at home any longer so my partner called the hospital to advise we were coming in. We got to hospital and I was 5cm dilated so went to our room and I got in the birthing pool. The contractions came strong and fast and at 2.32am I gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 8lb 15oz. In my notes it says labour was 1 hour 57 minutes and I only used gas and air and the birthing pool as pain relief. I had a water birth like I've always wanted and obviously it was painful but as good as it could have been and very quick!
Who knows if it was all down to the reflexology you gave me but I think it certainly played a big part so I just wanted to say a big thankyou!

A friend recommended Janine to me when I talked to her about the pain I was experiencing in my right foot. I had had the pain for about 7 weeks and it had reached the stage where not only was I walking on the side of my foot to try to ease the pain, which was leading to other problems, but this debilitating pain was also affecting my whole well being and making me depressed. During the treatment Janine explained what the problem was and that improvement would take a little time. However even after the first visit I could feel that progress was being made. I am writing this testimonial for Janine as I believe she has helped to turn my life around having suffered over the past 12 months with anxiety and panic attacks.
I suffered with anxiety and panic attacks during late 2014 and at times I truly did not know what was happening to me. I had symptoms such as a tight chest with periods of shortness of breath, sharp pains and twinges in my chest, arms and legs.

So I left you at 2.30pm, regular contractions restarted at 3.15pm, I went to hospital at 4.45pm. Saw midwife at 5.15pm, contractions slowed till 6.15pm(but they let me stay) and baby was born in the water at 7.41pm!!
Not a bad turn around! managed on TENS and gas & air only. Far less traumatic than last time, plus we were discharged home by midnight!
Baby is a little boy, 7lb 11oz.
